Sam Williams, MDiv.

President/CEO of CHMC

With over 17 years dedicated to ministry and a decade of hands-on experience as a practicing chaplain in a Level One trauma center in Tampa, Florida, Sam Williams is a seasoned guide in the landscape of loss and healing. His extensive training includes four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), completing graduate degree requirements to secure Masters of Divinity, and practical hands on crisis support, making him board-certified eligible, a testament to his commitment to providing expert spiritual and emotional support.

As the Bereavement Committee Chair at the hospital, Sam played a pivotal role in shaping grief support frameworks and was a trusted overnight staff member, traveling extensively to meet the urgent needs of those in crisis. Throughout his career, Sam has accumulated a wealth of resources and insights, which inspired him to establish Connecting Humans Mobile Chaplaincy (CHMC) in 2023. His vision: to forge connections across all walks of life and bring solace to those grappling with the profound impact of grief.

CHMC is not just a chaplaincy service; it's a movement to support the bereaved by offering free sessions to those in need, facilitated by compassionate, skilled chaplains. To make this possible, we rely on the generosity of donors who share our commitment to healing hearts. By contributing to our GoFundMe, you’re not just donating—you’re partnering with us to provide essential support to individuals and families during their most challenging times.

Join us in our mission to light up the path of healing, where every contribution helps us extend our reach and impact, ensuring that no one has to walk the journey of grief alone. Your support enables us to offer these vital services for free, embodying our core belief that true compassion knows no barriers.
